Propose a SIG

SIGs are focused micro-communities inside PkOUG that run targeted learning tracks — seminars, hands-on training, study groups, demos and mentoring. If you have a strong idea, we will help you shape it into a structured SIG.

Guidance

Before you write your proposal

What makes a great SIG?

  • Clear scope — for example OCI, EBS, APEX, Security, RAC/Data Guard
  • Visible outcomes — sessions, labs, learning resources or certification support
  • Consistent cadence — monthly or bi-weekly is ideal
  • Leadership — one or two leads plus a small volunteer team

What support does PkOUG provide?

  • Branding and announcements across PkOUG channels
  • Registration and attendance tooling, and community publishing
  • Help finding mentors and speakers, and sponsor enablement where suitable
  • Website presence — a SIG page and leads listing
